Beeple, the artist famously known for selling the world’s most expensive NFT called “Everydays” which sold for $69M during an auction, has achieved yet another historical milestone. The artist has had a successful follow-up auction after his first “real-life” art piece called “Human One” sold for a reported $28.9M.
OpenSea NFT Sales Eclipse $10B In Cumulative Volume
OpenSea, the world’s largest NFT marketplace has surpassed $10B in cumulative sales volume after experiencing a record run up in NFT interest this year. OpenSea’s success comes as no surprise after the marketplace become a hub for any artist or collector to have access to a marketplace to buy and sell NFTs. Which was a far cry to other marketplaces which acted as gatekeepers and curated pre-selected artists.

Discord, a popular communications application, has decided to cancel upcoming plans to integrate NFTs within their platform. The reason for cancelation was from a large amount of their users complaining that by adding crypto and NFT integrations to the platform, Discord would be supporting an industry that is harmful to the environment due to the large energy consumption involved in blockchain mining.

Vaynerchuk believes the market is entering into the euphoria phase of a market cycle and an crash is to be expected. Brian Armstrong, the billionaire founder of Coinbase believes NFTs pose an important new venture in Coinbase’s lineup of services. Armstrong says that non-fungible token interest could surpass the market volume they experience on their cryptocurrency exchange.
