Search inquiries for “non-fungible tokens” and “NFTs” have surged on Google, the world’s largest search engine. This comes as an exciting surprise under the discovery that the search interest by users even surpassed the search volume of other popular topics such as “Dogecoin” and “Ethereum”. The last time NFTs were in the search engine spotlight like this before was around June of this year when NFT sales volume was nearing a high.

Sales volume for NFTs have performed bullishly this week as the combined sales volume reached $7.4B as of this financial quarter. In 2021 alone, this space has seen an unpreceded surge in investor interest. To put this year’s growth into perspective, the total collective sales volume of all NFTs stood at a mere $55.5M at the beginning of 2021.

KuCoin Labs, the investment arm behind the global cryptocurrency exchange Kucoin, has announced the formation of a new $100M investment fund that will dedicate resources towards projects focused on building the Metaverse. Osprey Funds Wants To Invest “Hundreds of Millions” Into NFT Investments

Osprey Funds, a crypto investment firm that assists institutional grade investors gain exposure to the cryptocurrency markets has announced that it wants to branch off and enter into the non-fungible token space. Osprey will be launching an all new fund that may in the future invest “hundreds of millions” of dollars into the new digital collectible industry.

Over 1M Users Have Join The NFT Version of The Pirate Bay

An Australian software developer has formed a clone of the popular torrenting website “The Pirate Bay” and dubbed it “The NFT Bay”. The website has already garnered a collection 1M+ userbase and contains an archive of non-fungible tokens in an effort to mock the integrity of the space. The website contains over 18TB of NFT-related images and videos depicting NFT collectibles.
