NFT.NYC Took Over Times Square This Week

Nike Entered The Metaverse & Wants To Expand With NFTs
Nike has filed several patents that pertain to metaverse related trademarks as the clothing brands wants to offer their customers digital versions of their shoes, clothing and accessories. Over the past few months Nike has been heavily focused on entering into Web 3 by experimenting with NFTs and virtual goods.

Crypto.com Expands UFC Partnership With UFC NFTs
On Tuesday, Crypto.com announced that UFC NFTs were on the way. The new series of NFTs will include digital collectibles that will match up with upcoming fight cards, events, championship belts and fighter avatars. Back in July, Crypto.com signed a $175M sponsorship deal with UFC, the world’s largest mixed martial art entertainment firm.
EA Games CEO Believes Future of Gaming Involves NFTs
Electronic Arts, better known as EA Games, is looking towards the future of gaming which they say will emerge with the non-fungible token industry within the near future. On an earnings call, Andrew Wilson, the CEO of EA, said that “NFTs and play-to-earn games are the gaming industry’s future even though it’s still early to figure out how that would work”. This comes as no surprise as the current most popular NFT collection is Axie Infinity which mixes NFTs with a gameplay experience.
BTS K-Pop Label Has Partnered With UpBit To Launch An NFT Collection
Hybe, the music label behind the globally recognized South Korean K-Pop music group BTS, is teaming up with the cryptocurrency exchange UpBit, to launch a non-fungible token business. In the deal, Hybe will buy a 2.5% ownership stake in UpBit’s parent company Dunamu and will transfer 5.6% ownership of Hybe to Dumanu according to the official filing.
